TASC Interactive is a software version of TASC that allows you to create, develop, edit, save and share TASC Wheels (problem solving projects based on the TASC Framework). TASC Interactive opens up a world of possibilities for creative problem-solving and developing thinking skills. Once downloaded, TASC Interactive lives on your desktop or school network.
If you are already using TASC in school, TASC Interactive is an essential resource. It makes it possible for teachers to preload Wheels ready for TASC activities and save them for future use, present TASC activities using interactive whiteboards, share Wheels with pupils and colleagues.
Teachers can preload a Wheel with text and images ready for a TASC lesson. For example, I can prepare a Wheel about 'Habitats'. I can collect some information in the Gather and Organise segment, including web links for pupil research. I can record the task and success criteria in the Identify segment. I can show my class all this information on my interactive whiteboard. Then, my pupils can open their own copy of the Habitats Wheel and record their ideas and thinking as they go. Their Wheels can then help them communicate their learning, as well as providing evidence for pupil records.
