TASC in Suffolk

Mary Myatt - County Adviser for RE, ISIS, Suffolk

The TASC wheel has been used by Humanities ASTs in Suffolk.  As TASC is an holistic tool for planning and thinking about learning, a range of strategies has been added to each section to support teachers in gaining as much as possible from this rich resource.  We were keen to show how the TASC wheel can support extended episodes of learning and we wanted to encourage colleagues to allow their learners to dig deeper and linger longer, rather than rushing through the process.

TASC and the Welsh Skills-based Curriculum

Wales has developed a Skills-based Curriculum, and Martin Williams, a Secondary Adviser for Teaching and Learning in Caerphilly, has mapped out the extended TASC Framework to show that it dovetails completely with the Welsh Skills-based Curriculum.
